It was announced by  Not Just Any Old Day, that they were one of the vendors showcased at the most talked about 2010 Celebrity gift giving events — the second annual Valentine Romance/Sneak Peek Oscar Suite. They showcased their Calendar Keepsake jewelry line and gifts. The gift giving event took place in West Hollywood, California at the Cafe La Boheme. Only those who were invited got to attend the event; among those included some of the biggest celebs and top stylists in America. They all got to sample some of the hottest items in the world.

Among the viewed showcases included Not Just Any Old Day’s line of sentimental keepsakes and their unique Calendar necklace called “key to my heart”, Calendar Necklaces and bracelets, along with a couple of other personalized calendar gift products that were available in silver plated pewter, gold and sterling silver. Celebrities were able to pick up their personalized keepsakes for their valentines or for themselves. The owner of Not Just Any Old Day, Michele Esposito, said that their line of Calendar key necklaces were perfect as a sentimental gift and that it could be given to someone special on Valentine’s Day for remembrance.

Some of the celebrities that received personalized Calendar Key necklaces include wives of Chris Harrison, Ted McGinley, William Shatner and Gilles Marini. Female celebs that were VIPs that received personalized Calendar Key necklaces for their birthdays include Morgan Fairchild, Amanda Righetti, Dawn Olivieri, Deidre Hall, Lauren Velez and Kathy Joosten, among others.

It’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York — today was the fifth day of the event. A lot of celebrities rather go to Paris or Berlin’s fashion weeks because of the high amount of paparazzi found at the New York Fashion Week. Of course, there are paparazzi fixated in Europe as well, but it’s nothing compared to New York photographers, who are known for shouting and shoving to get the best pictures of front row celebrities. There were a variety of starlets who had photographers going wild for their snapshots. It seems as though Fashion Week is becoming more and more about celebrities that are watching the show, rather than the show itself.

Some of the shows that took place include Tracy Reese, Yeohlee, Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation, Perry Ellis, Jill Stuart, Tadashi Shoji and Carlos Miele. Some of the celebrities that were spotted there include the new “it” couple, Constantine Maroulis (from American Idol and currently stars on Broadway in “Rock of Ages”) and beau Tinsley Mortimer, a socialite. Other well known faces included Anna Lynne McCord from the new 90210, Jessica Szohr, Kristen Bell, Kelly Rowland, Julia Stiles, Star Jones, Kate Walsh, Robert Buckley, Jessica Stroup and Michelle Trachtenberg.

At the Jill Stuart show, the items featured had a wartime chic flavor, with long wool coats, lace-up boots, camo-print dresses and grommet belts. The show was also merged with a mixture of schoolgirl inspired dresses.

Miley Cyrus will be having an eBay auction selling celebrity jewelry. The funds made will be donated to the Haitian relief fund to help the individuals and families who have been devastated by the January earthquake. A lot of celebrities are putting in time, efforts and money in order to help with the catastrophe that has taken place on the small island. Miley Cyrus is a singer and actress who has been seen on Disney Channel as Hanna Montana on the her show. Her father Billie Rae Cyrus plays on the Hanna Montana show as her father.

Some of the celebrity jewelry that will be featured on the auction include Nichole Richie’s House of Harlow jewelry line pieces and some clothing word by stars like Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus and Joel Madden. Tickets to a variety of celebrity performances will also be up for grabs. The American Red Cross will receive all of the proceeds of the auction’s earnings.

More money is also being raised by 81 artists that will be remaking Michael Jackson’s “We are the World” track. Some of the artists that will be on the track include Pink, Lil’ Wayne, Keri Hilson, Vince Vaughn, Wyclef Jean and Miley Cyrus. The money raised from the song will be donated to help relieve Haiti from its devastation. It seems that Miley is getting her hands in a little bit of everything in order to help raise funds for Haiti.

The announcement of Nichole Richie’s engagement to Joel Madden was set to take place this Friday, but it seems that her fiancee beat her to it. He posted up the engagement on his Twitter page, saying “Yep. I’m engaged. Very happy”, but it has since been removed. Nichole was recorded on the David Letterman show that was set to air this Friday, where she announced the engagement between her and her boyfriend of three years. The two have two children together, Harlow and Sparrow. The two have actually been engaged for quite a while. Nichole hasn’t been sporting her engagement ring, which could have given away their secret engagement. She wasn’t wearing her ring on the Letterman show either. A source confirmed with People magazine that Nichole Richie spilled the beans to the Good Charlotte singer, during the taping of the Letterman show on Monday. According to US Weekly, Richie was seen wearing her engagement ring on Monday after the announcement on the taping of the Letterman show.

Now, the engaged couple is in New York promoting Nichole’s new jewelry line for New York Fashion Week. Madden has been busy sending fan messages about their daily activities in New York. He tweeted that on Tuesday, the two were snowed in and had plans of watching DVDs. Of course while in town they have been continuously snapped at by paparazzi. He did however post up a tweet thanking his family and friends for being tight lipped and not acting as sources regarding their personal lives. As you may have heard, Haiti was struck by a devastating 7 magnitude earthquake on January 12th. It crippled the capital, Port-Au-Prince, leaving hundreds of thousands dead and millions homeless. Bodies were stacked on the streets and buried in mass graves, something that wasn’t seen since the holocaust. There are plenty of celebrities coming to the rescue, trying to raise money for their aid. Unfortunately, while the small third world island was getting relief aid, they were struck again by a 6.1 magnitude earthquake on January 20th. It didn’t do as much damage as the first, but it did strike more fear into the fleeing Haitians. Supposedly it was another aftershock (49 small scale aftershocks had already taken place). There are multiple celebrity charities that are raising money for relief and now celeb jewelry is being auctioned off in hopes of raising even more money.

Raju Rasiah, a jewelry designer, decided to donate all of his celebrity jewelry that stars wore to the SAG Awards and Golden Globes. He did this through his website in order to help the Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund. Some stars like Eva LaRue, Stephen Lang, Kate Flannery and Cheryl Hines will be wearing Rasiah’s jewelry to awards shows for the next two weeks. This will all be done to raise between $20 thousand and $30 thousand for the Haitian Relief. Other charities that have been raising money includes George Clooney’s, Hope for Haiti and Wyclef Jean’s, Yele Haiti, charity. So far, Yele Haiti has raised over $2 million for the relief fund.

It seems that there is an on-going attack on celebrities and their belongings these days. Previously, stars like Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom, Megan Fox and a couple of other celebs had their homes robbed of jewelry, cash, electronics, shoes, clothing and purses. Now, it seems that Usher was robbed while he was in an AT&T store in Atlanta with a friend. No one knows who did it. Witnesses say they saw a man, but there aren’t any sketches or identification as of yet. Apparently, the thief/thieves took $1 million worth of jewelry, along with cash and other personal belongings. He had a fur coat in his GMC Yukon that was worth $50,000 alone. In the police report, Usher also claimed that he was robbed of a variety of “Christmas goodies”. A computer was also stolen. All of the items were situated in the back of his truck. This happened on Dec 14th — bummer because likely he had to go re-shopping for those X-mas goodies that were taken.

The Grammy winning hip hop artist recently had a baby boy, Usher V. Hopefully, the holidays weren’t completely ruined for him and his young family. It seems that the heist was a huge jackpot for the thieves. Likely, the jewelry has been identified and if they try to pawn it at any shop, they will get caught. Or maybe they will get greedy and try to rob Usher again or another celebrity, just as the thieves did in California. If they follow into their footsteps, they could end up just like them — arrested and locked up.

You’ve seen the late night ads on television with smiling people claiming how they sent in their gold to Cash4Gold and received nice sized checks. The commercial was also advertised during last year’s Super Bowl, which featured broke stars, MC Hammer and Ed McMahon. A man named Frank came out to the press saying that the company only paid him .15 cents for jewelry that was appraised at $200. When he saw the check in the mail, he knew there had to be some mistake. When he gave the company a call, they turned around and accused him of trying to scam them. After four months of investigations involving attorneys and the Postal Service, he finally received a check for $140.15.

Another problem that was found with the Cash4Gold company is their deadline for returning checks. The company tells its customers that they have 12 days to return checks and have their gold mailed back to them. The catch here is that the time starts ticking when the check is written, not when it reaches your mailbox. This has caused many problems for their customers who think they have more days than they actually do. Some have called the company to only find out that their gold has already been melted down and can no longer be returned. What customers should know is that Cash4Gold is willing to negotiate their prices. Of course, they don’t say this upfront, but when customers complain about the prices, they make higher offers by claiming their gold has been reappraised.

With all of drama surrounding Tiger Woods these days, there’s really no surprise that a lot of sponsors are beginning to drop him. The ad campaign that he was involved in for the watchmaker, Tag Heuer, will be removing the billboard ad that shows Tiger Woods sporting one of his watches. The CEO of the company, Jean-Christophe Babin, told the Swiss Daily Le Matin that the company had to take into account the sensitivity of the consumers in relation to the events that had taken place with the pro golfer. One of the billboards is located south of Boston, along I-93; it has Woods on there advertising for Toodie’s Fine Jewelry in Quincy.

Then he has another poster board ad that advertises Carter’s Diamonds and Fine Jewelry in Danvers, which is located on Route 114 in Danvers. The president of Clear Channel Outdoor’s Boston Division, Stephen Ross, said that he will be replacing the Tiger Woods ads with celebrity-free advertisements. They are doing this because they are afraid of what people may think — of course, no one wants to be caught dead supporting Tiger Woods and his infidelity. Although Ross has yet to receive any complaints of his ads, he will soon replace the billboard that has of a serious looking Tiger Woods that asks, “What are you made of?” Tag Heuer is trying to protect their image and their clients. The owner of Carter’s contacted the Swiss watchmaker and offered to replace the billboard for free, right after he heard about the sex scandal.
