Project Runway Red Carpet Disaster
If you’re familiar with Project Runway, you know the object of the show. The new season of Project Runway is no longer in L.A., but has moved to New York. Everyone on this reality show is looking to become the next best fashion designer — a lot of them are ordinary people or those who are looking to switch professions. Some have even gone to design school and are looking for a big break. One guy, Ra’Mon, is a neuroscientist who wants to become a designer. Then there’s Johnny, who tried out 3 times to no prevail, thanks to his crystal meth addiction.

Then there is true talent and success, such as with Nicolas, who is also known as the “feather prince”. He’s designed for Marchesa and his designs have even been featured on the cover of Vogue. Speaking of ordinary people who haven’t gone to design school, Christopher fits that profile in the bunch.
Now, to the disaster… There were three designers out of the bunch who created some horrid designs. Michael Kors created a Jekyll & Hide dress (one that would get the girl torn apart by the tabloids) and Mitchell created the sheer nightgown. Unfortunately, the model the show picked for Mitchell didn’t fit his measurements for the Victorian-era Marie Antoinette dress, so he had to send her wearing the night gown — which barely covered her. The worst of them all was Ari, with the hexagonal tesselation top and blue shorts (never seen this on the red carpet). Well, for the next episode, the “designers” will have to create a gown for a celebrity, but there’s supposedly a twist…I wonder what it is??
