Joel Madden and Nichole Richie Getting Married
The announcement of Nichole Richie’s engagement to Joel Madden was set to take place this Friday, but it seems that her fiancee beat her to it. He posted up the engagement on his Twitter page, saying “Yep. I’m engaged. Very happy”, but it has since been removed. Nichole was recorded on the David Letterman show that was set to air this Friday, where she announced the engagement between her and her boyfriend of three years. The two have two children together, Harlow and Sparrow. The two have actually been engaged for quite a while. Nichole hasn’t been sporting her engagement ring, which could have given away their secret engagement. She wasn’t wearing her ring on the Letterman show either. A source confirmed with People magazine that Nichole Richie spilled the beans to the Good Charlotte singer, during the taping of the Letterman show on Monday. According to US Weekly, Richie was seen wearing her engagement ring on Monday after the announcement on the taping of the Letterman show.
Now, the engaged couple is in New York promoting Nichole’s new jewelry line for New York Fashion Week. Madden has been busy sending fan messages about their daily activities in New York. He tweeted that on Tuesday, the two were snowed in and had plans of watching DVDs. Of course while in town they have been continuously snapped at by paparazzi. He did however post up a tweet thanking his family and friends for being tight lipped and not acting as sources regarding their personal lives.
