Kathy Rose, Celebrity Jewelry Designer, Shares her Style Inspirations
Kathy Rose is renowned for her celebrity jewelry designs. She is becoming increasingly popular as an expert at working the line between motherhood and Hollywood. One of her first famous clients was Madonna. Juggling between being a designer for celebs, keeping up with the latest trends and winning big reality competitions like what took place on last winter’s Launch My Line that appeared on Bravo; she still manages to make time for her family.
“Being away from them while filming the show was brutal,” Kathy, 38, tells PEOPLE’s Celebrity Baby Blog.
Kathy is the mother to her three year old daughter Saffron and 19 month old son Quinn. She says that her two children give her a lot of inspiration for her jewelry designs. Her daughter Quinn inspired her last fine jewelry collection ideas. She began using a lot of citrines and yellow diamonds with fire opals, which have saturated yellow, one of her favorites.
Kathy was born in Iran and became fascinated with stones and their properties. She was obsessed with her family’s encyclopedias and would look up G for gems and other terms like emeralds, garnets and would study everything about them. All of the studying she did really paid off, just look at her career now. She has had her jewelry on various stars like on a photo shoot of Demi Moore. Other mom celebs that liked her jewelry include Courteney Cox-Arquette, Kate Hudson, Meryl Streep and Angelina Jolie.
